Position Type:
40 Hours Per Week Duties:
Understand parameters of the County Zoning, Subdivision, and Floodplain Ordinances to be able to assist the Planning & Zoning Administrator in the daily operation of the Planning and Zoning Department and provide accurate information to members of the public.
Assist with one to two evening meetings a month as needed.
Assist with Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of County Commissioner public hearings.
Skills and abilities:
the operation of standard office equipment including a personal computer and job-related software applications such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requires use of County GIS maps for land use information.
Ability to learn Laserfiche scanning program.
Work cooperatively and constructively with others.
Ability to deal with difficult persons.
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including handling interruptions, and return to and complete tasks in a timely manner; work well under pressure.
Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
Tasks require a variety of physical activities including but not limited to:
occasional lifting, turning and stooping.
Duties also require memory for details.
Supervision Received:
Will be supervised by the Planning and Zoning Administrator.
