Prescription Program Manager

Purpose of Position:
This position is responsible for the appropriate management of the HRSA 340B Drug Pricing Program to ensure VFHC complies with all applicable rules and regulations, make program benefits available for as many eligible patients as possible, while maximizing return for VFHC, and assist VFHC staff and providers in understanding procedural aspects of the program. Serves as the primary liaison with RPhI, our pharmacy consultant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as the VFHC ‚ compliance authority‚ to staff regarding program details, policies and procedures and actively engages with leadership and participates in decision-making processes related to the implementation/improvement of 340B processes.
2. Maintains knowledge of the policy changes that affect the 340B program, including, but not limited to, HRSA/OPA rules and Medicaid changes; and develops and modifies company 340B policies and system databases according to those changes.
3. Provides ongoing staff training, education, and awareness required for the 340B program at the pertinent levels of the organization to ensure that processes remain efficient and addresses any problems or suggestions for improvement
4. Responsible for ensuring that the HRSA 340B Database is accurate for all organizational entities and for the completion of the annual HRSA recertification.
5. Develops, monitors, and presents reports on 340B participation that clearly document utilization, savings, problem areas, exceptions, and/or discrepancies to administrative leadership and, when requested, to the Board of Directors.
6. Provides oversight for all audits performed by independent external auditors. Works with medical auditors on third-party payer audits to ensure coordination of efforts and maximum collection. Develops, executes, and documents self-audits of the 340B process and ensures remediation of findings.
7. Responsible for ensuring registration of any new sites within the allowable time frame.
8. Participates in the development and implementation of reports generated on the 340B program that outline savings, utilization, exceptions, and discrepancies.
9. Optimizes purchasing of supplies and medications from the 340 program and routinely reviews 340B formulary pricing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
¬ Minimum of 3 years‚ experience working with 340B from the aspect of either Pharmacy, Regulatory, Finance or Information Technology
¬ Working knowledge of all aspects of 340B. Managed or participated in the inception of an established 340B program.
¬ Bachelor‚ s degree or equivalent: 2-3 years progressive experience in a supervisory role in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
¬ Minimum 2 years managerial experience in a fast-paced, growing environment.
¬ Demonstrates initiative and can function independently as well interdependently.
Quality Improvement:
Participates in improving VFHC performance, processes, or programs through quality improvement which will be demonstrated in at least one instance annually.
Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
2. Continuous sitting, standing, walking.
3. Normal manual dexterity.
4. Correctable vision and hearing.
5. Must be able to read, write and speak clearly.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
