Foundation Seed Assistant

Monsanto is currently seeking a highly motivated Foundation Seed Assistant with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in Foundation Seed in Payette, Idaho.
The successful candidate will assist the Crop Specialist in all phases of Foundation Seed production. This person will have responsibilities including seed processing, treating, packaging, shipping, planting, field roguing, harvesting, designing and printing labels and field books, managing seed storage, and maintaining accurate records. Incumbent will also lead a small crew for harvest and seed cleaning activities, work with multiple computer programs, operate some equipment/machinery, work with the State Department of Agriculture for disease testing and phytosanitary certification for shipment overseas, and follow Monsanto safety procedures. Incumbent will be required to travel approximately 5 to 10 days per year.
Required Skills/Experience:
? AA/AS degree
? Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
? Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
? Excellent organizational and record keeping skills with attention to details.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work outside in hot or cold weather conditions.
? Ability to lift 55 lbs.
? Experience using computers/tablets.
Desired Skills/Experience:
? BS in agriculture or related field.
? Experience with MS Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, SAP.
? Experience with agriculture.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
